How to Put your iPhone into DFU Mode

iPhone DFU Mode is handy when the Recovery Mode for your iPhone is not working Properly or you might not be able to switch to it due to some reason. The iPhone’s DFU Mode is nothing but the Device Firmware Update Mode in which your iPhone’s operating system or Boot Loader will not load but your iPhone will be in a state so that it can be used with the iTunes to Upgrade or Restore the iDevice.

The DFU Mode Feature is required when you want to Jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with the Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze tool.

Entering your iPhone’s DFU Mode is a matter of seconds but only when your Timing is Perfect. To put your iPhone’s into DFU Mode, follow the steps below :-

Step 1: Open iTunes on your Windows or Mac.
Step 2: Now Connect your iPhone to your PC using your standard data cable.
Step 3: Now Press and Hold the ” Home Button” and the ” Sleep Button ” Simultaneously.
Step 4: Count for 10 seconds and release the Sleep/Wake Button of your iPhone but continue holding the Home Button until you will see a pop-up of your iTunes Screen showing below.

Step 5: If your iPhone Screen Turns Completely black, then you are successfully entered into the DFU Mode.

1.) If you don’t see the black screen, try again and in a few attempts, you will be over there.

2.) Don’t ever Confuse between the Recovery Mode and the DFU Mode of the iPhone Software. The screenshot below will visually tell you about the basic idea.
